Foolad Gohar Farzanegan Pars, a member of Farzanegan Fars Nikoo Group, operates in the mining and steel sector, with a focus on developing an integrated value chain from iron ore exploration and extraction to the production of intermediate steel products.
The company develops mining and industrial projects aimed at creating greater value from mineral resources, securing raw material supply and strengthening the domestic iron and steel value chain.
One of its principal projects is a 2.5-million-ton-per-year pelletizing plant in Kharameh, Fars Province, currently under development. The project is designed to process iron ore into higher-value feedstock for downstream steel production.
Alongside the pelletizing project, the company is pursuing exploration activities in the Bahram-e Gour mineral area, as well as the development of iron ore extraction capabilities to support a sustainable supply of raw materials.
The company’s development plans also include a direct reduced iron (DRI) plant with an annual capacity of 1.8 million tons, creating the foundation for a more integrated mining and steel value chain.
Construction of the pelletizing plant has commenced, with commissioning currently planned for 2027, subject to project progress.
Gohar Farzanegan Pars Steel is developing its portfolio with a long-term focus on value creation, mineral development, supply security and expansion of the domestic steel industry.
