Foolad Gohar Farzanegan Pars Company

Foolad Gohar Farzanegan Pars Company was established in 2017 as the mining division of the Farzanegan Group, with the objective of adding value to the mining sector, preventing the raw export of iron ore, and contributing to the advancement of Iran’s iron and steel industry.

The company’s long-term goal is to enhance mineral extraction across national mining zones. Its initial mission involves the design, construction, and operation of a pelletizing plant with an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons in the Kharameh region of Fars Province.

Beyond the pellet plant, the company’s development roadmap includes:

• Completing exploration operations in the Bahram Goor zone.
• Launching mining and extraction activities to secure raw material supply.
• Constructing a sponge iron production plant with an annual capacity of 1.8 million tons.
• Establishing a concentrate production plant using local iron ore resources from the Bahram Goor zone

Construction of the pelletizing plant—marking the project’s first phase—is already underway and expected to be completed by 2025. Additionally, a portion of exploration activities in the Bahram Goor zone—estimated to hold approximately 6 million tons of iron ore—has been completed.
